Establishing the first neurorehabilitation curriculum in Morocco, North Africa. The MAIR clinic secured the support of Rotary International, the University of Utah and the LDS Charities.
MAIR Clinic hosted Master Degree students from the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Utah.

As part of the ongoing partnership between the University of Utah and the MAIR clinic, five Master Degree students from the Department of Occupational Therapy traveled to Marrakech City, Morocco. They are: Stephanie Riske, Nicole Rauterkus, Sabrina Adams, Madison SteinerLund, Ashlee Beverley and Dr. Marilyn Schneider (team leader-supervisor). Each student was assigned a clinical research project of their choice, which they develop while working and collaborating with the MAIR staff. Students are also encouraged to prepare short lectures on the subject of their choice. Once they return home, each student prepare a comprehensive report to be submitted to the OT Department as part of their graduation requirements. A copy of this report was provided to the MAIR clinic.

MAIR Clinic hosted the first Rotary Global Grant/VTT program in medical and clinical training in neurological rehabilitation

Thanks to the leading role of the Salt Lake Rotary Club and the support of several rotary clubs in Utah and the Marrakech-Menara Rotary Club and the North Africa Rotary District, Rotary International approved funding (two global grants) for the purpose of training Moroccan Therapists in the medical field of neurological rehabilitation. These exchange programs involved 17 teams of medical professionals and benefited more than 30 Moroccan Therapists. And thanks to these trainings, MAIR clinic services improved drastically and the facility gain recognition from local medical communities.
